I photographed my friend for his modeling portfolio this past weekend. We made a lot of different images but I wanted do something that was really crazy. This was my second time using gels in the studio and I really wanted to make it strange but also using the colors to shape his face.

I used two red gels on two Profoto zoom reflectors at the 70 degree notch in back of him pointed slightly up at him and one Profoto zoom reflector at a high 45 in front of him attached with a 5 degree spot and a blue gel. I made sure not to have the gel too high where the light would then be casting a shadow on his eyes from his eyebrows.
